Competitive and Academy Team Coach

Coach Alex Holt is a dedicated and high-character coach who brings both leadership experience and collegiate playing background to the VHSC staff. A former standout at Rollins College and a proud product of Vestavia Hills Soccer Club, Alex has returned to his roots to help develop the next generation of youth players with the same passion and commitment that shaped his own journey.

As a player, Alex captained Vestavia Hills High School to major success, earning First Team All-State and First Team All-Metro honors. He also led the VHSC Steamers to a State Championship, setting the tone with his composure, work ethic, and leadership. At Rollins College, Alex appeared in 14 matches during the 2021 season and was consistently recognized on both the SSC Commissioner Honor Roll and Rollins Athletic Director Honor Roll for his performance on the field and in the classroom.

Despite a setback from injury in 2022, Alex’s impact remained strong—earning the Tommy Award for Best Teammate, a testament to his character and influence within the team.
