Ensuring tomorrow's successes by contributing today
We all know the concept of debt. If you owe someone, you "pay them back."
The Vestavia Hills Soccer Club has formed the 'Pass It Forward' program. The program is designed to help underprivileged youth participate in the world's most popular game, which in the United States has become quite expensive.
Pass It Forward borrows its name from the movie 'Pay It Forward' and the concept is identical:
Do something good for a random stranger, in the hope that your actions will make the world a better place...
Soccer is one of the few sports that the better you get, the more expensive it becomes. A competitive 12-year-old on a top-level competitive team will spend over $3,000 in registration fees, tournament fees, and travel in a seasonal year! VHSC spends over $10,000 annually to help support these players, but there is so much more that can be done. Pass It Forward is the answer...
Generally, our goal is to assist 10 players a year which equates to $30,000 each year! How much should you give? Well, a good pasta dinner at a tournament costs $14.00-$20.00, so any amount will help! This is not a marketing opportunity for you or your business, but an opportunity to help a player in need. Most of our donations come from donors wishing to remain anonymous. This is an opportunity to do the right thing and to ensure tomorrow's opportunity is available by contributing today.
