Volunteers are an essential part of our Club and our Tournaments providing support with program logistics, coaching and mentoring youth. Volunteers must enjoy working with youth and be able to create a positive, encouraging recreational environment for all players.
Volunteers provide support with logistics, promotion, greeting out of towners and generally helping players, parents, families, coaches, and teams find their way!
If you enjoy watching soccer and helping others, join the ranks of our Tournament Volunteers! Watch your son or daughter play and volunteer at the same time or stick around after a game to cover a shift! The Volunteers of the past will be jealous as we have made volunteering easy at Vestavia Soccer!
- Field Monitors
- Site Coordinators
- Clean Up Crew
Volunteers enjoy working with youth and are able to create a positive, encouraging environment for all players, coaches, and families. You can make a difference and have a positive effect on the tournament and our Club! Volunteer coaches will want to show up 5-10 minutes before your shift to get acquainted with the Tournament Coordinators and location.
HIGH SCHOOL HIGHLIGHT
Every year we have some our Club players volunteer as field monitors to receive service hours for school! This is a great way for all High School age players to come, volunteer, help out, and get service hours for their school! We have had a steady stream of these Volunteers each year!
MAKING OUR TOURNAMENTS RUN SAFELY AND SMOOTHLY!
Safety is a top priority, so filling up these volunteer spots are key to help monitor fields for a variety of things including:
- field monitoring for
- player injuries
- Coach behavior issues
- Parent sideline behavior issues
- other injuries
- helping referees with Game Cards (only at times when they need)
- helping secure goals if needed (walk the fields before games and check goals)
- general field monitoring
Covering just one shift will help make our tournament more professional, run smoother, and make a positive impact on those you surround… Shifts run about 3-4 hours… So grab some sunscreen, water, and a chair and come to help us at the tournament!
Together is better so let’s Work Together!Read More
