— Steamers Perform at Boys College Showcase In Raleigh —

This past weekend the Steamers program had a very successful weekend at the Boys College Showcase In Raleigh, North Carolina. Not only did the teams come away with great records, but both teams were also watched by many NCAA, and NAIA coaches throughout the weekend. Steamers 01 Black coached by Chris Blight went 2-1-0, and the Steamers 02 Black coached by Luke Whittle went 2-0-1. Steamers 01 Black opened up their account with a comeback 2-1 victory against Beach FC, from Virginia, after being down 1-0 at halftime. They then followed this up with a dominant 3-0 win over Piedmont Triad FC from North Carolina and closed the weekend with a hard-fought loss 2-0 to Tampa Bay United.

The Steamers 02 Black opened their weekend with a very tough 1-1 draw against an extremely talented Ayses side from North Texas. They followed this up with two excellent wins against Wilmington Hammerheads ECNL team 1-0, and Athens United from Georgia 2-0.

The Boys College Showcase is one of the Premier events in the country for College recruiting, with over 200 coaches in attendance, and both Steamers teams represented themselves very well.
