Register

All registration for the Soccer Season will be by online registration.   There are 2 ways to register: Online with credit or debit card payment; or Online with check or cashier’s check payment with check and online registration confirmation sheet being mailed in to VHSC.   It is essential to follow instructions carefully and read all the following notes below as well as any headings, notices, etc as you progress through the online registration screens.   If you are unable to register online, please contact the Soccer Office by phone at 978-0182 or by email at VHSoccer@bellsouth.net.   Thank you for your patience!

 

REGISTRATION PERIODS

 

June 1, 2010 thru August 1, 2010 for all league divisions. Please complete all competitive registrations by end of June (at the latest!).

 

Late registrations will only be accepted on a space available basis and late registrants mayl have to register in person at the Soccer Offices located in the Vestavia Hills Recreation Center.

 

Please note that due to field space constraints, some age groups and locations could close if they are filled before the deadline. So register early! If you attempt to register for Central age groups U6, U8 or U9 and the Central Division is closed, please register for your age group in the Liberty Park Division if you still would like to play. There will be no waitlist for the Central Division once closed.

 

For the U11 and higher recreational age groups, teams will be formed in the order registrations are received. If teams are full and there are not enough players remaining to form the next team, the registration fees of the remaining players who cannot be assigned to a team will be refunded.

 

You will be notified about the first date of practice by the coach of your child's team. If you have not heard from a coach by February 18th, please email the Soccer Office at Vhsoccer@bellsouth.net.

LEVEL OF PLAY AND AGE GROUP

 

You must select the level of play and age group at which the player will participate. 

 

Age Group:

Check the Age Group Table below and determine which age group your child will be in as the registration process will require you to select the correct age group. For additional information on each of the age group programs, please click on the links below.

 

Competitive Division I or Division II:

 

Registration for players on Division I or Division II competitive teams is now OPEN! Please proceed to register.

 

Recreational Under 6, Under 7/8 and Under 9:

 

You must select the true age group that your child’s birthday mandates, even if there is a choice to play in a higher age group.  Players will play in their true age group unless an age group adjustment is required by the Director of Coaching.  The adjustment will be made after online registration is complete. IMPORTANT:  You must select to be placed in either the Central School Division or the Liberty Park Division.

 

Under 6 age group: will have 90% of their activities at your selected location.

 

Under 7/8 and Under 9 age groups: every effort will be made to have practices at your selected location. However, games may be scheduled at either location.

 

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU SELECT THE CORRECT DESIRED LOCATION! There have been problems when a parent has inadvertently selected the wrong location resulting in the child being placed on a team in the wrong area. SO PLEASE BE SURE OF YOUR SELECTION!

 

Recreational Under 10 - Under 18

 

You must select the true age group that your child’s birthday mandates, even if there is a choice to play in a higher age group.  Players will play in their true age group unless an age group adjustment is required by the Recreational Director..  The adjustment will be made after online registration is complete. All practices will be at the Liberty Park Sports Complex.

 

PAYMENT METHODS

 

After entering data for online registration you must select your method of payment.  The options are:

• Credit or debit cards:  Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover are accepted for online registration (a convenience fee will be charged).

It will be possible to enter multiple children and make one payment for all.

• Check or cashier’s check.  When you complete the process you will be prompted to print out a receipt.  Two copies will print out – one for you to keep and one for you to mail in with your check. 

 

UNIFORMS

Competitive Players will order through their uniforms from the team manager. 

 

Recreational Players U6 through U8:  Recreational uniform packages will consist of a black and a white jersey. The price of the recreational uniform package is $23. Players will wear black shorts and black soccer socks of their own choosing.

 

Recreational Players U9 through U18:  Recreational uniform packages will consist of a white jersey, a black jersey, black shorts and black soccer socks. The price of the recreational uniform package is $33.

 

Recreational Players U4 Mini-Kickers: Mini Kickers will receive a Mini-Kickers T-Shirt to wear to the training sessions. The cost of the T-Shirt is included in the registration fee. The T-Shirts will be distributed at the first session.

Our program is only as strong as its volunteers make it.  Please look over the volunteer positions and check one (or two!).  We need plenty of helpers to keep the programs running smoothly.   THANK YOU
